,

I'm so sorry to hear about Suzanne's continuing and confusing health crises. I hope that she gets out of the hospital soon and that the doctors will be able to pinpoint the problem soon! Thinking of you.

Thank you , I am going to talk to the doctors about this. There is always

so much I don't understand. The articles that you referenced talk about either

steroids or immunosuppresive therapy as being the treatment. Suzanne has been on

both and we cannot put her on steroids (at least that is my understanding)

anymore. The eosinophin cells were present in her 1st, 3rd and 4th (most recent)

scopes. When she had her second scope she was on 60 mg of steroids delivered via

IV; it is my guess that because of the steroids the cells did not show up on the

second scope.

I will keep the grou pupdated if we find out anything more - in the hopes that

our experiences can help someone else.

Hi ;

I'm so sorry to hear about Suzanne's continuing health problems. Have

the doctors ruled out " eosinophilic gastoenteritis " or related

eosinophilic disorders?

http://www.apfed.org/downloads/What_are_Eosinophilic_Disorders.pdf

I've read that a new therapy has been tried with eosinophilic

gastroenteritis, employing a leukotriene D4 receptor antagonist:

Eosinophilic gastroenteritis in a young girl – long term remission

under Montelukast.

I hope that this information might provide a useful lead if Suzanne's

doctors have not already explored this?

I wish Suzanne a speedy recovery from her Strep throat infection.

Best regards,

Dave
