Guest guest
Thanks for the reply, , that's very helpful to know what Rhonda says about it. I see Pam on in New York, very infrequently now, which reminds me I am overdue for a visit. Pole dancing is dancing and exercise with a stripper pole. It involves belly dancing and acrobatics. The spins and climbs and other moves work all the muscle groups. It is a lot harder than it sounds, though it's easy to get started. It's the 'in' thing now so you can pretty much find classes anywhere, even in your local gym. When I was doing it avidly, I had the best body of my adult life - I loved my toned arms and abs especially. I am someone who hates formal exercise, so this was perfect for me. On a personal note, it helped a lot with feeling sexual again after so many years of that being eroded by this disease and by IC. Re: question about using treadmill/ walking Hey , when I saw Rhonda K. recently she told me to walk...and to build up to a 'brisk' walk. If you can handle it, I think 'walking' is one of the best exercises those with pelvic floor dysfunction can do. I think the walking will help with blood flow and we definitely need that for the pelvic floor and walking can also help 'tone' the pelvic floor muscles. If we just did pelvic floor PT and didn't do anything to stay toned that could lead to prolapse. Just depends on your own personal situation, though. Who do you see for PT? What is pole dancing????
