Guest guest
Hmmm. I wonder if you'll still need a little Humalog (quick acting). You dropped a pretty good portion of your dose, and it seems to me your readings are proportionally higher. Tweaking is another very important word for us. Your meter will tell you the effect based on whatever cause you implement. Lower your insulin, and your sugars will rise. And viseversa. Keep us informed! Oh, BTW, I take my Lantus at bedtime. But again, you can play around and see if when you take your injection makes a difference. Dave ~~ Coming, June 21 -- A Time To Build -- From Desert Breeze Publishing ~~ Marshall is stunned when Hallie Grover knocks on his door. He hadn't seen her in 13 years, not since that party... But she doesn't recognize him. Can he stay out of her way? Will she suddenly remember? The past may be the past, but lives in the present. And so does Hallie. may think he wants to keep his life simple, but since seeing Hallie again, his world is turned upside down. I feel this is a good place for my sugars to be. I really wasn't a lot impressed with the 90's, because when they dropped lower in to the 70's and 80's, I would have to eat a few carbs before I rode my no where bike. now I don't have to snack any more with where they are staying. I won't start on the ten units of lantus until the 20'th of August. first I will use up my flex pens and not waste them. only using ten units a day takes a month to use up 300. I will only do the lantus once a day. which time do you guys think I should take the shot? morning or evening? I have no clue and he said it was up to me. did go to the doc yesterday with a allergy problem and got some meds to kick it out of my life. I gave blood so the rest of my numbers will show where they are as well. as long as the triglycerides aren't still around 1400, then all will be grate! will let the list know when I know.thanks. Guest guest
then I take it that the humalog is the fast acting and the Lantus is the long acting insulin? he said I would only need one shot a day and only use ten units. however, he also said if my sugar reading is under 130, then drop my dose of ten by one and continue to drop it by one each day if my sugar reading is staying under 130. now this here I don't understand at all, but before I start the Lantus I will call and make sure then that I do understand his directions correctly. I still got 2 months left of the Novalog flex pens and will adjust my dose to see what happens. 5 twice a day may be just a tad to low. tweak is a thing I can do and have done the past 4 months. thanks. was just noticing and wish to share. for nine days in a roll now using only five units of the novalog 70 30 flex pen mix, my sugars are now running between 100 and 120. the lowest during the nine days has been 100 and the highest 117. doing the same no where bike travel of 2 hours a day, playing with my small weights 3 times a week and eating right.
