Guest guest
Hi all- Just wanted to give you an update on my son Jake (16.5m). We went to Cranial Tech today and they came across as really confident that, if we banded, we would see some sort of correction, it's just a matter of how much. They spoke in really positive terms and were really nice to me and Jake, so I feel really comfortable with the idea of going with the band at this point, and going with them as the provider. I was especially glad to hear that she thought we could even improve his ear assymmetry. His assymmetry measurements for both his head and his ears were 15 mm. As most of you know, 2-4 mm is considered " normal, " so he is definitely on the high end of moderate. I think I would be thrilled if we could just get it to at least 10 mm. Do you think that's a realistic/modest expectation at his age? In any case, he's going to be casted on Monday, so now I'm really anxious to get the process started for sure. I'll keep you posted! in Raleigh (mom to Jake 16.5 m - tort resolved, plagio, future DOCBand wearer)
Guest guest
The amount of improvement will depend on your consistency, Jake's growth, etc. I have no idea if 5mm improvement is realistic but it is realistic that some improvement is better than none. Happy banding. > > Hi all- > Just wanted to give you an update on my son Jake (16.5m).
