Guest guest
My son was for months when he was referred over to Cranial Technologies (in AZ). However we had to wait a month for his appointment. He was in a DOC Band by the time he was 5 months. He has been in it for 6 weeks and has shown Great improvement. So I wouldn't worry to much about having to wait for your appointment. I'm sure when ever you start treatment things will work out great. Guest guest
My son was put into a DOC band at 5 1/2 months. He was in it 12 weeks and now has a perfectly round head. A friend of mine that I used to work with has a grandson with Brachy. Their pediatrician wouldn't give them a referral over to a specialist. The doc kept saying that it would round out on its own. He is now 12 months and still has severe brachy. This isn't always the case. I have heard of quite a few cases where the parents were persistent with repositioning their baby and had great results. There are also places that will still band children past 12 months. Can you post some pictures of your son? Lorie Mom to Spencer and Alizabeth 10 months Spencer- Left Plagio- DOC Band Grad. 9/07-12/07 Glendale, AZ [sPAM] Need Advice Our son is 6 months old and it has been recommended that he go into aband. His asymmetry is somewhat noticeable, but has improved greatlyin the last month as he has been on his stomach for play and sleep. What are the long term affects of not banding and has anybody decidedto wait to see if it has gotten better and it didn't or did?
