Guest guest
Hi Val and all I wished to share my experience on stress dosing and flu. Val,First of all,I would like to thank you very much for giving me support during these hard days.If you hadn't helped I could have been hospitalized. This flu was the worst I had all my life. Probably because my health was at its worst.First day I started stress dosing after my last dose at dosage of 3.75 mg.That night I felt like I was close to dying. I would go to hospital f I was not aware that most of my problems were due to adrenal fatigue.I did another stress dosing at 03:00 a.m. than I got better a bit, Next day was also difficult one. I stress dosed as I felt a need for it and I think I increased my dosage by 75 percent if I am remembering correctly. third day I continued the same way but starting from afternoon I started drinking various herbal teas, did some castor oil application and had a good sweating. This was around 6 p.m in the afternoon. Than I got another stress dosing.Within an hour time I started feeling as if heavy burden was lifting from me. I think herbal teas and sweating might have stopped the viral replication. Than I started having high cortisol symptoms. It seems to me that as viral load decreased my need for cortisol also decreased and my last stress dosing came out to be as an excess.I was hyper and could not sleep until very late.Today I woke up with some upper respiratory infection but with almost none viral infection symptoms.I decided I would stress dose as I need to avoid excess stress dosing.And.... I did not need any stress dosing today with one exception. I needed an extra of 1.25 mg so far. My body did not ask for any extra cortisone and quickly adopted from about 43 mgs to 27 mg.Val just like you said. I stress dosed for three days and I did not need any tapering.I still have some bacterial infection going on but I am hoping it might go away if I take good care of myself tomorrow. Things I have learned viral infection was much harder on my adrenals than the bacterial one.Today I had bacterial infection but did much less stress dosing than viral infection time. I noticed that I can detect when I need stress dosing and when I do not. That was good. next time I might be more courageous Val at increasing the dosage.I have trouble adapting in new situations.this was my first experience on stress dosing.thanks to Val and all who have given support. best wishes. nil
