I had it horribly, off and on. At first we thought it was a heart issue. I

could barely walk up the stairs. Then, when I started getting better, I broke

all the Adrenal Fatigue rules and decided I could start exercising. All i did

was gasp for breath, and of course, it set me back with thyroid as I started

having RT3 issues. Once my adrenals started getting better, the Armour and

Cytomel- I was on both initially- started working, and I didn't have the air

hunger issue until I went RT3 like crazy. My ferritin and B12 have always been

good and I make sure that my adrenals have plenty of support with sea salt and

hydrocortisone cream. Every once in a while if I'm stressed, or get too hot, do

too much, at the tail end of a cortisone dose, or if I'm late with the T3, I'll

get a bit of air hunger, but it's not debilitating. From what I've read here,

it seems to be a combination of things and finding the balance in various meds

and supplements that let's your body use the T3.

I've practiced yoga, meditation and breathing for 30 years, and sometimes, I

just have to stop, make my mind quiet and breathe slowly....to calm myself.

While I believe I've had adrenal and hypo issues since childhood, and had 8

miscarriages and other health issues, I've been on this part of the journey

since diagnosis only 2.5 yrs. Thankfully, I found Val and Nick, and many others

on these two groups. I'm 56 and it looks like I'll keep on living...you'll get

better, Joan. I know you post often, and I haven't looked for your labs, but I

just wonder if something else isn't out of kilter. I tried to raise T3 too

quickly and got much worse, so I went back down and added more adrenal support.

Hope this helps. Hang in there!

> Does rt3 clearance truly help get rid of the air hunger, or shortness of

breath? And can it happen while you're raising t3 on the way? It's the most

frustrating, debilitating, aggravating and depressing thing I've ever been

through, and one needs to see light at the end of the tunnel. If anyone has a

good testimony, please let me hear it!
