Guest guest
Just was looking at the QuestDiagnostics site (they don't do RT3 either it looks like), and ran across this interesting piece of (I assume) rubbish in their article on types of thyroid medication: " desiccated thyroid (not recommended for replacement therapy) " Why not? Are they referring to all replacement therapy, including sub-total doses, or only total replacement in the case of thyroidectomy or total killing/shutdown of the gland by RAI? And why wouldn't Armour be contraindicated for total but not sub-total replacement (if indeed they are referring ONLY to total replacement). Or is this the usual Armour bias rearing it ugly head again? Does Quest get funding from either ATA or Abbott by any chance? Jim
