Becca,

Since I'm not a professional I wouldn't begin to guess. However, you should

call your neurosurgeon and let him know what is going on.

Some days I still feel numb, now 3 years after surgery.

I’ve been reading the Stop the Thyroid Madness website, which someone here kindly recommended I visit (thank you). I’m on the page of stupid things doctors have said, which is pretty amusing. However, one quote stopped me, because it’s a problem I’ve had forever, and I’ve never seen it mentioned before as being related to thyroid. The quote was, “The constant feeling of phlegm in her throat isn’t phlegm and can’t be related to her thyroid ”. I always feel like there’s excess phlegm in my throat (and I’m a singer, so it’s really, really annoying) and cough or clear my throat a lot. Is this a recognized symptom of hypothyroidism? Thanks.
