Guest guest
Whoa...whoa....ok, i read this and perked up! About 18 years ago I had all of my amalgam removed due to being sick, sick, sick for months until a very astute ND/biochemist helped me figure out what it was. I had recently had about 10 mercury fillings removed and replaced with NEW mercury, and within weeks, I was sick as a dog! Had sequential removal by a good doctor in Texas, and chelated with dmsa, which at the time I had to get out of Canada. I saw all of this to say that I recently started on ALA. I've been noticing some weird things...like muscles in my top leg hindquarters feeling like they're pulling, a foggy fullness to the front part of my brain, etc. I was thinking this might be the Cytomel, but after having taken DMSA at one time, and feeling that brain thing, could this maybe be the ALA chelating leftover mercury. Since I read that DMSA does not chelate from the organs....perhaps this may be helping? Or maybe I should not be taking at all since I have had mercury issues? VAL????? What do you think? RIVkAHTX, you said using it wrong could cause more problems. What is right, and what is wrong? I no longer have any metal in my mouth...it has all been removed and replaced with composite. THANKS for anyone shedding some light!>> Hi Val,> > Because you have been so patient with me in regard to my symptoms coming back AFTER several months of clearing Rt3, I thought I would let you know what my problem is. In March my naturopath put me on ALA for high liver numbers. As I think back it makes perfect sense...I did research on ALA and found that it is a sulfur enzyme. I CANNOT take anything with sulfur, sulfites, sulfates in it. I also found out that it interfers with T4/T3 conversion. It does not allow T4 to turn into T3. Now I know I am only on T3 but the fact that it IS a sulfur I am 99.9% sure this is why I have not been feeling good. Don't know if this will help others but I thought you may be interested.> > Thanks for all your help!> Venizia>
Guest guest
THIS IS OT for this group. I do not want to discuss chelation on this group as it is a mindset all it's own and does nto have anythign to do with T3 and RT3. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ Whoa...whoa....ok, i read this and perked up! Subject: Re: Val, figured out what is wrong To: RT3_T3 Date: Thursday, June 24, 2010, 9:03 PM  ALA is a chelator. If not used properly you can get yourself messed up. If used properly it is used to move mercury out of organs and from the brain. If used wrong it moves not only mercury, but other heavy metals into your organs and into your brain. You can read about ALA and how it is used as a chelator here: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/ANDY_INDEX.html > > Hi Val, > > Because you have been so patient with me in regard to my symptoms coming back AFTER several months of clearing Rt3, I thought I would let you know what my problem is.
