Guest guest
> >When I go to t3 only, how long should it take to clear rt3 since I do not produce t4 and will not be taking t4? Am I correct in thinking I do not have to take a large dose of t3 as I do not have to suppress t4? I plan on taking 50mcg of Cytomel in doses of 15, 15, 10 and 10 at bedtime. My thyroid will have been shut down and I was taking natural. It took me 11 weeks It doesn't matter where the T4 comes from, whether it was your own thyroid or supplementry T4, it takes time to decay once you stop feeding it. If you stopped taking T4 today there will still be some there in a month's time, it takes time after the serum RT3 clears for the cell receptor blooking RT3 to clear. Don't start at 50, start at 12.5 split in 2 and increase from there, your T3 increases need to tracck the natural decay of T4. Dosing suggestions are here http://thyroid-rt3.com/dosing.htm Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
