Guest guest
Leisa, Low cortisol can cause your feeling dizzy, not wanting to stand, even if your sodium is good. Low carb can make your potassium too low and I think yours looks like you could take some. Certainly, being mid-range, it couldn't hurt anything to try. Potassium has helped with my pounding heart greatly, although I know you said you actually feel like you can't get enough oxygen. I think that is " air hunger " and is generally a hypo symptom. Magnesium helps everything; it is so important to the body, period, so I would supp it if you are low! It DOES affect your heart very much. Yes, your ft3 was high BUT if by any chance you have thyroid resistance, it will be high, but maybe not that high... And, of course, low cortisol will make the t3 pool and not get into the cells, which (1) makes you feel hypo even though on higher doses of t3 and (2) could be causing some of your symptoms. Are you taking anything for either? My heart would pound very hard before I started to supplement both things. Maybe you need to go to HC? Not sure since I don't know the entire history. > > Kitty > > > > > > > To: RT3_T3 > Sent: Thu, May 13, 2010 10:24:23 PM > Subject: whoops I was low pulse/ low sodium > > > > Help. I was low sodium..then low potassium > Now recently Im so tired and sqeezing like no oxygen in heart. > Well the bloodwork came back...I dont understand but, > sodium 147 H (135-145) > potassium 4.0 (3.5- 5.2) > anion gap 19 H (4-18) > urine osmoality 220 L (300-900) > and WBC still is and always LOW > MCH is LOW > ANY CLUES? I do eat very low carb. I dont take salt, but try to eat plenty..especially since it's always been low. I have been trying to take more Isocort due to exhaustion. > I was told by my Dr and Val to lower my t3 from 100mcg to 75mg..due to 7.5 ft3. > But then my hair got worse and I got a severe incapacitating hip tendonitis that caused me to not be able to walk for months. > I recently went back up on t3 in between the 2 amounts to 87.mcg. I take 12-15 isocort a day. Thank you, leisa >
