Guest guest
Hi, We've had a good experience with Hanger so far, although we go to the Hanger place in Cincinnati, so I can't speak to your facility. My son is 7 months old, has brachy and has been in a Hanger helmet for 3 months. The scanning was very easy on my son, although people have said the casting is not that bad either. We've seen excellent results and started noticing a difference in 2 weeks. We think he may be done at his next appointment in 2 weeks. Our experience with Hanger has been good and I am very comfortable with our orthotist. However I was disappointed when we had to see a different orthotist once when ours was gone- he clearly did not specialize in helmets and did not know what he was doing. Just make sure the orthotist you have is experienced and professional. Good luck! lexilucy07 <lexilucy07@...> wrote: I am in Charlotte,NC and have decided to go with Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics,Inc. over Cranial Technologies,Inc. I am not sure I made the right decision. I was impressed with the fact that 3D imaging was used instead of casting, which really swayed my decision towards Hanger. I also liked the idea that the certified orthotist had specialized training in fitting many types of orthotic devices (compared to the occupational therapists that work at Cranial Technologies.) Has anyone used Hanger in Charlotte or other locations? Were you happy with the results from their bands? Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.
