Guest guest
Ken just got “The call”. A little while ago, a tx surgeon called Ken, asked him how he was feeling. Said they “might” have a liver for him, hang around the phone they’d call back in a few minutes. When they called back, they asked a few more questions, Ken told him about his last US and the nodule they found on it and that he hadn’t had the MRI to check it out yet. Tx Dr said he would talk to Ken’s doc about it. Called back the third time, said the liver appeared to be a good one from a 50 year old man, but wasn’t harvested yet, they would be doing a biopsy on it this afternoon to be sure it was good. He told Ken *if* it was indeed a good one, Ken would need to come in tonight and would have surgery tomorrow morning. Ken sounds good, I am a nervous wreck! We so love this kid (I know, I know, he’s 33, but he will always be our baby.) I got to go iron – naturally it would be on a day when everything in this house needs washing! Our daughter was here this past weekend and all 4 of us had a great time on the boat, playing cards etc. What a wonderful send off, if it happens. I’ll let you know if we hear anything else. I want to send a special Thank You to athan, your tx story certainly inspired us and we are so grateful you shared it with us. Barb in Texas - Together in the Fight, Whatever it Takes!
