So, We made the decision to band with CT. I'm pretty sure our RX is

secured although the doctor is taking FOREVER to complete it. We made

the scanning appointment--yikes. I feel in my heart it's the best

thing, but I'm very nervous about it. I asked at CT about

complications and they assured us there wasn't any as long as we kept

things clean. So, I'm wondering from a mom's point of view how it went

to have their baby in a band? Should we expect sleeping problems?

Should we get memory foam? Car seat issues? Play issues? Trouble

holdind up their head?--CT said no. My daughter is just turning 5

months old.

Thank you,

Your concerns are valid...we didn't have any issues. By night 3,

our son was back to sleeping through the night (we didn't do

anything differently other than lighter PJ's). YOu may have to play

with clothing while your little one is adjusting. You will find

that it will go much better than you think it will. Our son has

been out of the helmet almost 10 months and he is right on target

developmentally, was happy in the helmet, ate the same, played the

same, etc. Our son was already in a Convertible carseat (Britax

Roundabout) but I think he would have been fine if he was still in

his infant seat (Graco Snugride) although I know some parents move

their child to the next carseat because they think it will be

better. Happy banding.

  • 1 year later...

Dave,

This is .  I was diagnosed with M.S. in 1987

and have been on LDN with greart success for 4 months.

I'm pretty atypical except I developed a limp last year.

However, recently (in the last week) I got a brace from a german

company, Otto Bock " walk-on " brace.  Made of carbon fiber

(lightweight), $800.  This is the third day - no limp, no dragging

my toe, no 'drop foot' literally gives me more energy as I use it.

For me, life feels pre-M.S.  Between LDN (3.0mg) and the

brace, I feel lIke a new person!   I guarantee both highly . . .

Good luck,  in Denver

Dear Folks and fellow travelers:At this stage of life, and with a clear MS DX to deal with, I try more thanever to eschew expectation. But, in the wake of discovering LDN, beginningtaking it, and reading all the anecdotal evidence from all over the western

world, I can't help but get a little hyped at the prospect of regainingsome semblance of my prior mobility. Yet, that has not happened thus far.To be sure, improvement is discernible in ways difficult to put into words,

and probably the greatest benefit is an unseen one, that of possiblyhalting progressive decline, again something to be profoundly grateful for.Of course, I am not complaining either, as I am blessed with remaining

ability to drive, work, and function, all without pain, even though withgreater effort needed in all those areas. My question, directed to the longterm users of LDN specifically for MS, is whether those folks have seen

improvement in mobility?Again, I stress, I am not at all complaining. Nor am I entertainingany overt expectations. I am simply interested in hearing, (or reading) oflong term LDN/MS user's improvement, if any. As always, my sincerest and

heartfelt thanks for any replies.Dave in Pa.olddad68@...----------------------------------------------------------myhosting.com - Premium Microsoft® Windows® and Linux web and application
