Guest guest
As a newbie to the group last month I had posted on whether anyone else had the PTC resulting in exterior drainage bags. After 48 days in the hospital, numerous PTCs that have resulted in 4 exterior drainage bags my husband has finally been listed on the transplant list here at UPMC in Philadelphia. I'm hoping early this week to finally bring him home. The option of a live organ donor was discussed. Has anyone else on this list had their transplant in this manner? If so, how did you go about finding a viable living donor? What extra expenses may be involved with a living donor that may not be covered by my insurance? I realize this is a lot to ask but this part of this long disease journey is new for us. Thanks for any info. wife to Mark - UC '75, PSC '
