Guest guest
That is funny you should mention that. I was noticing how much clearer my urine looks. I saw my Neph this week, and I am still sticking around 18%, but seem to have more symptoms of uremia which I don't really understand. If labs are stable, I should not feel any different. The nausea is getting worse, BP getting higher and requiring more meds, and...very very sadly I must say, I have had to give up my beloved running over the past month. I just can't do it anymore. I am making a tremendous effort on eating, but I am not always successful keeping things down. My doctor said that because I am so small, perhaps my body can't tolerate the uremia very well, or perhaps my body is more sensitive. PTH is climbing too high and he is now concerned about bone complications..oh the joys of chronic renal insufficiency :-). On an off topic note, for any of you that are prayer warriors, my husband's best friend Jim has been missing without a trace since Thursday. He even missed his daughters birthday party yesterday. No credit card or gas card activity, just disappeared without a trace. He had only minimal cash on him when he left the house and there has not been any bank activity either. He has been either unable or unwilling to check messages on his cell phone, and has not made any outgoing cell phone calls since Thursday either. We could really use your prayers. We have had search teams out Friday and Saturday, and teams have headed out today too. Searches at all area airports, bus stations, train stations, and hospitals have come up empty. Police are involved and searching as well. The more prayers the better. Thanks! In a message dated 3/12/2005 7:12:25 A.M. In fact, the more kidney failure you have, the clearer your urine becomes (it's basically mostly yellow-colored water at that point, since very little is being filtered, even if the tubular portion of the nephrons are still producing urine for you). Mind you, never having much foam is a better sign than always having lots of it. But there are other factors involved in whether there is foam or not, so, I wouldn't use just that to interpret anything. Pierre
Guest guest
Interestingly, , I too am near 20% or so and still am by recent checkup...and am noticing many of the symptoms of uremia clearing....less itching; rashes much more susceptible to clearing with hydrocortisone cream (they were very refractory before) appetite improving, nausea is basically gone, the whole 9 yards. Not sure about bp, at least in the office its OK. Even the swelling of legs and ankles is lessened enough that I don't take the lasix anymore. This could be a function of the pollen/allergy situation, that is, down regulation of immune system (complement) activation and so forth, but if so function doesn't seem to have changed....I am clueless. I did have to give up the 4 mi per most days I was treadmilling, I am so tired much of the time. I have kept my diet basically the same, and the pill regimine is the same.....so I am REALLY confused by all of this. However, sadly, you seem to be going in the other direction. I wish this weren't so. To be blunt about it, sometimes I get a little angry with God, and this is one of those times, and prayer is the only thing I know to get straight again. Good people like you always seem to suffer most, while genuine ***holes seems to live long, healthy lives. As for your husband's friend, I have included him in our prayers at our prayer " cluster, " in San . keep your chin up my friend! Bart Re: question? That is funny you should mention that.
