Hi Bent,

I got Cutler's book about a week ago and from reading

it I guessed that I was having problems with liver

phase II detox. I have been having really severe

allergic attacks to fairly ordinary environmental

chemicals, hot baths, EDTA chelation, etc.. I

developed gallstones immediately after the filing

removals which poisoned me, so I knew my liver had

been taking a hit from the mercury. My copper is also

high.

After reading Cutler's book I started taking SAMe,

NAC, Glycine, Taurine, and Molybdenum. I have also

been drinkings lots of flax oil. After feeling really

terrible for 6 weeks (1-4 out of 10), within an hour

of doing this I felt almost well (8 out of 10), and

have since then. I would suggest you take a look at

the sections on liver phases and these supplements in

Cutler's book. I don't know where you are, but I look

for supplements in Froogle, Googles online shopping

site.

Good luck, and hope you are feeling better.

Cutler says be careful with the taurine - some have

too much and some too little, and it can make you

better or worse. So maybe start slowly.

I have been taking both. I take the taurine because I seem to lose Mg

readily and taurine might (seems to) help with that. I take glycine

for liver support and as one of the amino acid precursors to glutathione.

See Andy's " Hair Test Interpretation " book for the quantities of

supplements to bring copper levels down.

I think that it would be a good idea to help the liver before starting

chelating.

Many of the basic supplements on Andy's list will help the liver as

well as other organs. It would good to be on the basic supplements

for about a month before starting chelation imo. For the liver pay

close attention to getting a good balance of fats. Eliminate

processed vegetable oils and margarines from your diet. Avoid fried

foods. Try to get a good balance of fresh naturally occuring fats -

like those in extra virgin olive oil, seeds, nuts, avocado, coconut,

lean meats, low mercury fish, and add 1-2 T flax oil +/or fish oil.

Minerals are important for the liver. B vitamins are especially

important for the liver. Andy suggests taking B50 or B 100 complex

divided over 4x per day. You may want to add extra B1, B6, B12 and

folic acid. Eat organic whenever you can, avoid processed foods, and

avoid chemicals.
