31.25 mcg yesterday (switching from 3 gr Armour)...it went well, I took very

small doses throughout the day, last dose at 10 p.m. Slept fine, feel good this

morning, planning to stay with the same dose today.

What should I expect to feel as the T4 that's still in my system wears off? 5

days from now, do I come to a crashing halt? Also, I'm a little nervous about

remembering this T3 every four hours from now on, but don't really know, if I

forget, whether my body will remind me in a subtle way, or I'll just be cruising

along, and then suddenly feel like total crap. Is there an " outta T3 " wall that

I can expect to hit at some point in time? *L*

I've reviewed the instructions on the www.thyroid-rt3.com site, and I think the

advice there is to plan to raise about 6.25 mcg after a week or so. Do you all

agree with that? Before you answer...

My ferritin level was 20 at the end of April. I've been taking iron ever since

I got that result back, but haven't mega-dosed at all because I was nervous

about it. For about six weeks I was taking 100 mg of Country Life Total Mins

Iron, and now I'm taking 50 mg of iron bisglycinate each night. Haven't had

ferritin retested yet, but will ask doc to order that when I go for my

appointment on July 7. I'm pretty sure that the low ferritin (plus low B12, low

D3, and low protein) was caused by malabsorption, which was caused by a lack of

stomach acid, which was caused by 8 years of Prilosec. I have a hiatal hernia

and long standing acid reflux, so I'm still taking the Prilosec (really cannot

stand to go without it - I get very, very miserable), but now I also take 1 g of

Betaine HCl after each meal, which I hope is helping the absorption issue. I do

know that my lower digestive tract seems much more stable and normal these days.

I've been treating the low D since February, and it is coming up, slowly but

surely (21 in February, 37 in late April). I take 10,000 IU of D3 each day. I

also use sublingual adenosyl B12 each morning. At last test (after I began

supplements), B12 was at 619. I know I need to have MMA tested, but haven't yet

because cost is an issue.

Thanks for feedback!

Bette
