If morning urine ph is alkaline (8-ish), doesn't this mean the body is actually acidic --meaing alkalinity is being excreted and acidity is being held in the body? Would someone set me straight on this please? Thanks for all the help.
Guest guest
> I'm not sure what you mean by kidney herbs? >>Yes, what are kidney herbs, please? Dean: Kidney herbs are not part of Andy's protocol. As far as I remember he recommends magnesium for pain in the kidney area. I personally believe they are essential , esp. if you have low back pain. You don't have to be on them permanently, just for 6 weeks to get the kidneys moving. Parsley water; Uva Ursi and Ginger are the most common herbs used (there are many others and even kidney teas abound). But they must be maintained for six weeks, and if you want to dissolve away kidney stones a certain combination of certain herbs is needed, as each one works on different sets of crystals e.g. Oxalic acid crystals. Hulda s organ cleanses are excellent in my opinion: http://www.livingnetwork.co.za/drclarknetwork/kidney_cleanse.html But please note her liver flush is not recommended by Andy for mercury toxic livers. I don't know if he would be against the kidney cleanse? I don't see anything worrying or unusual in the ingredients and I have never known even one person to have side-effect with it after seeing hundreds through it (except for the taste of course :-)) I have found it to remove completely or lesson significantly the pain of 95% of lower back pain. Liver herbs: Andy advises Milk thistle herb. Amino acid Taurine is also useful to get the bile flowing (alone with others). I have found this to be very helpful. I have also found the Liver Phase 2 supplements like TMG (and Taurine) and especially Sulfate to be helpful. >What is the difference in saunas --why not FIR saunas? I don't understand why. I think it is because FIR's are not regulated or standardised. I don't know? He just says don't do 'em. That is good enough for me most of the time. >Urine ph seems confusing. Would someone >set me straight on this please? I have had problems with alkalinising my urine. It seems to prevent me clearing my ammonia. I know this because when my ammonia is high I don't sleep well at all. I take ornithine to clear ammonia from my body and help me sleep. Ammonia is 'smelling salts' and was used to wake people from a coma in the old days! A couple of capsules of ornithine is magic and I keep it by my bedside. Ammonia is also only produced by bacteria. Cortisol also activates the enzyme Glutamine Synthesise (in Andy's book) which clears ammonia from the brain. I have not tried supplementing glutamine (no space on my supplement shelf :-)) , but I know from my adrenal issues that cortisol output is a problem. Mercury not only makes one a perpetual patient, but also keeps the medical and supplement industry booming. It comes down to the fact that he has had lots of reports of people having significant increased symptoms with FIR sauna, and not with regular sauna. The source of the problems is partly the glues used in construction and other toxins present in the material, partly the heaters which cause the body to heat unevenly, and partly false advertising about the foregoing information by the companies that sell them. > > > An ALKALINE URINE is important for chelation until pH is 8 or more. > > > According to Andy Cutler " The thiol based chelators will drop off > > some of > > > the metals in the kidneys if the urine is too acidic " . Would someone > set me straight on this please? > As I understand it, Andy says in the Hair Test book that alkalinizing the urine is only necessary if you are chelating certain metals - cadmium, silver, and (I think) gold. These metals are more prone to be dropped in the kidneys causing damage. Alkalinizing the urine is meant to prevent this. This is distinct from the issue of alkalinizing the body by reducing intake of acid foods and taking more alkaline foods in an effort to get rid of acid wastes. --
