Re: Supplement sources

I really wish we had a solid listing (or personal experience records) of

reliable supplement companies in 'Files', because there are manufacturers we

should be avoiding, and because we need easy resources for finding the specific

type of supplement (i.e., selenomethione form of selenium).

The one company I've been most confident in is Kirkman Labs. I was told that

this one was developed in large part to serve the hypoallergenic needs of

autistic & heavy metal toxic kids. It's pretty obvious when you see their

product offerings. Their hypoallergenic products got me through months of

healing my gut & early detox efforts before my amalgams came out, and I still

rely on them for some things.

I know that our budgets are an issue, but when I tried supplements such as Vit

E from pharmacies or grocery stores, I felt far worse. I later learned that

it's a big deal to use only what's in the correct form. Another example is cod

liver oil. Some people will need this, as I did, but we have to be extremely

careful of the source & quality.

So often we're too sick to do this type of research, especially early on when

we most need help.

What are the best supplement companes you have found? I find that most

supplements don't make any difference and that most are allergenic.

I like New Chapter and Megafood because they use whole foods to

provide more nutrients and less heat to avoid damaging nutrients. You

don't have to take as much if it is more assimilable. I have a

Megafood selenium and e and it feels good--i can even eat the tablet.

I haven't tried new chapter yet which looks even better-it is organic,

for one thing.

Do people find it is important to supplement with b, c and mg every 4

hours as Andy suggest. Can you feel the difference>
