HEllo,

Concerning your thyroid panel.

Firstly, your Dr. should have run a Free T3. I don't

know of many good thyroid doctors who are running the

T3 uptake. I see a well known thyroid dr. in LA and he

basically runs Free T3 and Free T4. The free T3 is

the most telling as that is the active form of thyroid

in your system.

Your TSH of 1.9 might seem fine to most doctors, but,

the TSH is not a fair evaluation of your thyroid. It

is a pituitary issue of how much thyroid stimulatingh

hormone is your body excreting. I have a daughter who

is very low thyroid who has never had a TSH over 2.

The thyroid issue is very difficult to get good help

with especially if you are working with an " average "

doctor. THey seem rather clueless.

They are even worse at adrenal issues.

I have a daughter who ws dx with low thyroid and low

adrenals so she is on thyroid and cortisol. I just

discovered last summer that she has lyme disease. I am

sure this is what caused her endorcine system to

crash.

I know that some people are able to really help out

their thyroid function with iodine. There are several

differing opinions on this. Some swear by lugol's

iodine, some swear by seaweed type iodines. I am on a

forum where one gentleman with lyme was found to have

very low thyroid and he has just added lugol's iodine

with great results. So , I am looking in to that.

You should also get some good testing for your

adrenals. you can get a blood test showing what your

total and free cortisol blood levels are. This test

should be taken in the AM before you eat etc...Also,

the saliva test is a good one. The problem is finding

a Dr. who will run them for you.

I hope you can get some good help. I know it is hard.

And yes, we go to a Dr. who does not take insurance.

argh

GOod luc
