>. I don't think Im at my range yet. I started back on T4 same dose and have

remained on the two for 3mo. Should I not be on both at the same time especially

with T3 at 100mcg. The compounded doesn't seem to be that strong for some

reason. I thinking of changing to cytomel but don't know what dose to start off

with and eliminate compounding T3. Does anyone know how to do this safely

without becoming hypo or hyper. I assume cytomel is stronger then the

compounding T3 since its slow release. Thanks

The general suggestion is that compounded SR T3 is about 2/3 the

strength of branded Cytomel or Grossmen Cynomel (cheap, from Mexico).

I would start on 50 of T3 taking in 4 doses of 12.5 and then be

prepared to go up by 12.5 at a time every 2 or 3 days until you find

your optimum dose.

I would do that initially by adding extra doses and then start

increasing doses one at a time to 25 instead of 12.5

Each time you are thinking of increasing ask yourself if you are ready

for an increase as per this page

>Should I continue with t4 while I'm changing over to cynomel. I don't think I

need it since I was off it when I was trying to eliminate my high RT3 and

started back on when my labs came back. I thought that my low t4 was nt good. My

t3 was mid range and RT3 low. I felt better but had contin with hairloss so I

started adding again T4 (62.5)

Below range T4 is completely normal on " T3 only " .

There appears to be no direct biological action from T4, the body does

not miss it.

It's the " storage hormone " but to be able to utilise it you have to be

able to sucessfully convert T4 to T3.
