Guest guest
Am on armour and HC. When I got up to 20mg HC (150mg armour) I had somewhat restless sleep with mild sweats.Shortly thereafter got a thyroid dump and had to discontinue Armour for a bit and hold on HC. Someone on another forum suggested that I might have needed more HC, so when things calmed down I upped my HC 2.5mg and then shortly thereafter restarted armour at half my dose (75mg). My last two nights have been awful. Light sleep interrupted by sweats which wake me with rapid pulse and a startled feeling. My temps are low when I wake up (96.8ish) and my pulse soon goes back down to 60. Clearly I'm not overstimulated. Val or anyone- can you help? Is it too much/too little HC. I'm frustrated because I've felt pretty good during the day this past week- but actually had to take sleep meds last night so I could make it to work today. Uugh!! thanks, Chris

Guest guest
First I want to say, " thanks " , Val. You're always willing to help although clearly overwhelmed with needy hypoadrenal/hypothyroid folks. Second, please allow me to just vent for a moment while I try to decide my next move. If I am now " hypoglycemic " it is directly related to the hormone program that I've been attempting, unsuccessfully I might add, for the past two months and particularly since I've gotten up to a therapeutic amount of HC. I'm really feeling that I was better off when I was slightly hypo with Hashis and not on any thyroid or adrenal. At least I didn't have to worry about not being able to sleep at night and missing work days. Whatever is going on with lately with my sleep has got to relate directly to the HC (and/or how the HC effects my thyroid dose) because it just wasn't there before- not like this anyway. I feel like backing off the HC and starting from scratch. Or at least backing off until I can find someone to work with who really understands the adrenal piece. chris > > Am on armour and HC. Guest guest
Sometimes especially when anywhere ENAR meno the HC can lower estrogen to omuch and this can cause night sweats too. That is one other thing to check as higyh estrogen goes with low cortisl and if you correct the low cortiols the true low estrogen can be revealed. I have stopped sweating at night completely since going back on estrogen. And I thought I was past needing any! -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Could that have messed with results. Will report back later with BP test results. Yes, I'm on BP meds. I want life to be simple again................ where do I go to get those supplements. kc in AZ where dag nab it... the sun came out... and YES we got snow on my side of town today for the other folks on the list in my city. Have I mentioned how much I appreciate you ALL and VAL you are an amazing woman..... but of course, you're an animal person. If I lived close to you, you would be getting to groom my pill of a cocker spaniel.... (a puppy mill rescue)

Guest guest
You might just be on too low a dose of thyroid. I had the same type of problem when I lowered from 1.5 grain to .5 grain. I was not on HC and didn't know anything about adrenal fatigue at the time, so the only change was thyroid. I then developed severe hypoglycemia and high BP, and had a pounding heart and fast pulse, especially at night. Both have gone away since I've been able to raise back to 2 grains. Just some thoughts. Guest guest
Thanks, Barb When I was initially raising my thyroid (after I found out I had Hashis) I would sometimes get mild night sweats an hour or so before taking my thyroid dose. I often wondered if my body needed that thyroid. Anyway I'm glad to hear that dropping armour can cause those symptoms because I'm at half dose now and it could be my body's just reacting to the drop. (At least another option to explore- thanks) > > > > > > Am on armour and HC. Guest guest
thanks, Val I am using BHRT now and will see the results of a 24hr urine next week. One more thing to look at and consider. > > Sometimes especially when anywhere ENAR meno the HC can lower estrogen > to omuch and this can cause night sweats too.
