Guest guest
Wow, lucky you. I am still struggeling in week 2 to pass the 20 mcg a day of t3 and you are already on 75 mcg. I wonder what can make such a huge difference betwin our experiences. Or to be exect: what do you have that I don't? See you at the finish line at week 12... (-: > > after a few months on synthroid and not feeling much better, i got new labs: > free t4 1.2 ng/dl > free t3 2.9 pg/ml > rt3 28 ng/dl > tsh 1.680 > > on 4/29/10 i started taking generic cytomel 5 mcg x2, then the next day x3. i kept uping the dose, because my temp never went high, and i never felt hyper. in fact, i felt no effects really. i'm just worried i've been increasing it too fast, way faster than on the rt3 page says to do, but i've been feeling good. no hyper symptoms at all. and now, only about 2 weeks later i'm up to 12.5 mcg x 6 spread through the day. should i just keep listening to my body and increasing, or should i slow down and risk the low temp/hypo feelings coming back? >

Guest guest
I don't recommend anyone trying this, but when I first started T3, I felt like I didn't feel anything, so I just kept taking more and more trying to feel better and ended up taking 250 mcg! LOL! I didn't go hyper at all, my pulse was normal, I wasn't shaking. I can't remember my temp. My doctor was shocked that I didn't show any signs of being huper, even though my ft3 was over 800. Of course, I did get terrible low cortisol symptoms and lost about 8 pounds in 5 days. Oh my, lol. I am pretty sure that the rt3 was blocking my receptors. There's no way I could take 250 mcg t3 now. :-) Kathleen > > >i have my thyroid. my cortisol was in range, but i never had my ferritin checked. i'm only concerned because after 2 weeks i'm up to 75 mcg/day. is it just possible my rt3 is clearing very fast? > > > > More that the RT3 is wedged into the receptors giving resistance so > you can take a big dose of T3 and nothing happen! > > Nick >

You've made up for the deficit of being hypo, hopefully you can slow down the increases now and just track the T4 as it decays. It's OK to dose for " not being hypo " but remember that if you are on more than 125 when you clear you may well need to drop considerably. T3 levels stabilize 3 days after an increase so be careful to wait long enough before deciding if you are on enough Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com

Watch out for taking too much at once as if it crashes adrenals you end up feeling more hypo Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com

Guest guest
Thank you so much for your help. It is very reassuring to hear from you all, since i'm doing this semi on my own. I just this morning took my first full 25 mcg tablet(no more 1/2 tab morning dose), and i finally feel it! I'm up to 75mcg/day. It's not just the absence of my hypo symptoms now, but an actual feeling of energy! I will go slower with the increases now as you suggest.I see my doc on Monday, will get my ferritin checked. Thank you again! > > >, but i've been feeling good. no hyper symptoms at all. and now, only about 2 weeks later i'm up to 12.5 mcg x 6 spread through the day. should i just keep listening to my body and increasing, or should i slow down and risk the low temp/hypo feelings coming back? > > You've made up for the deficit of being hypo, hopefully you can slow > down the increases now and just track the T4 as it decays. > > It's OK to dose for " not being hypo " but remember that if you are on > more than 125 when you clear you may well need to drop considerably. > > T3 levels stabilize 3 days after an increase so be careful to wait > long enough before deciding if you are on enough > > Nick > > -- > > for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to > > www.thyroid-rt3.com >
Guest guest
Funny, I don't feel too lucky either. Nick said my resistance is strong, that's why i'm at a high dose and don't feel it. I was dissappointed i didn't feel any of the energy, and my fibromyalgia symptoms and low temps kept creeping back about every other day. My ratio was a 10, what was yours? > > > > after a few months on synthroid and not feeling much better, i got new labs: > > free t4 1.2 ng/dl > > free t3 2.9 pg/ml > > rt3 28 ng/dl > > tsh 1.680 > > > > on 4/29/10 i started taking generic cytomel 5 mcg x2, then the next day x3. i kept uping the dose, because my temp never went high, and i never felt hyper. in fact, i felt no effects really. i'm just worried i've been increasing it too fast, way faster than on the rt3 page says to do, but i've been feeling good. no hyper symptoms at all. and now, only about 2 weeks later i'm up to 12.5 mcg x 6 spread through the day. should i just keep listening to my body and increasing, or should i slow down and risk the low temp/hypo feelings coming back? > > >

Guest guest
Hi . Just read right know that you replied to my comment. Well, my ratio is 5 (yes, I know...very rettible indeed). Was glad to hear that you are starting to feel an impronment. I am starting to feel an improvment myself -no my dry and ugly hair - I got my beautiful healthy curls back. I always believed what the moderators here suggest, but when it really happens and your body is starting to respond (after losing good commiunication with your body long time ago) that is really amazing, isn't it? > > >It's not just the absence of my hypo symptoms now, but an actual feeling of energy!
