Guest guest
I already have osteopenia, was diagnosed a few years ago and I am 33. I have celiac disease the I think started when I was around 16 but wasn't diagnosed until age 23 and then had poor digestion until now... I definitely have more hip pain now on HC so I'm positive the low testosterone isn't helping. I just ordered the androfeme so here's to hoping! I can't find the 5mg pump dose you are talking about for the progesterone Kitty To: RT3_T3 Sent: Thu, May 13, 2010 8:34:52 PMSubject: Re: Bedtime Dose Anyone? / Other Factors No problem. :-) I don't "feel" testosterone. But I think it is SO important for bone health and I think it helps prevent insulin resistance as well. In fact, I wonder if the reason some people on HC get bone loss is due to the fact that HC lowers testoserone. (Yes, supra pharmacolical doses of HC -- which we are not taking here -- also cause other issues related to calcium loss in urine, etc., etc.) At any rate, I had a bunch of tests done when I was taking higher doses of HC and the doc begrudgingly admitted I was not losing bone or anything else going on bad related to the HC. :-) BUT it did lower my testosterone and that prevents you from FORMING bone. And my bone density was not as good as it should be. It could be because I am small and may never have acheived good bone density when I was younger, but at any rate, I went on the testosterone straight away!!Kathleen> > > >> >>

Guest guest
Were you able to get to the site and create an account? They won't let you look for Xymogen unless you create an accoumt. Then search for ProgX Topical Cream. It doesn't say it is 5 mg a pump. I only know this b/c my accupuncturist sells it and the rep told her that's what it is. :-) I have mild osteopenia in one hip as well, which is why I got on the testosterone ASAP. I need to do another density scan and see if it's improved now. I do check bone loss through urinary NTX lab work (urine) and it is fine. I am pretty sure I was simply not MAKING bone. BTW, progesterone is needed to make bone, too, so you these will both help you greatly. Kathleen > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Hi Leisa, I'm not sure what could be wrong. Mine raised right away with the compounded gel and has stayed there. I am able to keep it at a free of 4.0. My total testo is bit too high, but the free is good. I think Val keeps hers at 4 as well. The pharmacy can make it in different strengths so you can apply less of it, which probably absorbs better that way. I apply it every morning to the inside of my arms, from wrist to armpit. Was your cream compounded that didn't work? How did you apply it? BTW, I have always had problems my whole life with DHT being too high, so I have to use saw palmetto to keep the testo from turning into DHT and giving me acne. Works great. Guest guest
Sorry I didn't see this, Leisa. How are you, anyway???? I get my testo gel from a local compounding pharmacy, Menaul Compounding Pharmacy. A local 's doc uses them. It's $36 for a jar that lasts me about 3 months, so pretty cheap, really. I am sure they would do an out of state rx if your doctor called in a script. Let me know if you want their number.
