Guest guest
What these labs lok like to me is T3 ois pooling due ot either lwo cortisol or low ferritin. Thus it is not gettign to the cells and looks higher than it hsould be., http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ I wrote previously with my problem in regulating my meds; I am on 2 grains dessicated thyroid, also on isocort, but my symptoms continue and are getting worse. I saw a doc twice and last month paid a fortune for tests and he actually lowered my meds from 3 grains to 2. Now I have the following results: TSH: ..03 (.35--5.5), FT3 3.5 (2.3--4.2) and FT4: .9 (.8--1.8). I have a telephone consult with him on Monday to discuss my recent results. I plan to retest RT3 next week, but in the meantime can anyone interpret these results for me, does it mean that the T4 is not converting properly to T3 or why is my T4 so low and always low? When I supplemented with T4 last year my RT3 results went very high and when I stopped T4, they went down to normal. This doc says it is impossible I have a RT3 problem but I don't understand why (I will ask again on Monday). I have terrible symptoms now, cannot sleep, am very nervous and anxious and very hyper, my hair is terrible and falling out again and dry, I get tired in day, I am losing too much weight, I get sleepy in day, etcetc............I would like some good arguments to discuss with him on Monday and would appreciate any advice since I have more confidence in this group than in any doctor really.........I also asked for a prescription because I want to get the ERFA meds fm Canada, since now I have been taking the Thyroid-S from Thailand.........I really don't know if these have the same problems as the armour with the cellulose fillers etc..........but I heard that Thyroid-S was close to the old armour.........anyway, any comments at all would be very very much appreciated! .. Guest guest
My last cortisol tests came out: 8AM: 5.79 (optimal range: 3--6) 12PM: 1.35 (optimal range: .5--2.5) 4PM: 1.46 (optimal range: .25--1.25) 10:15PM: .41 (optimal range .15--.5) This doctor had them taken with Aeron Life Cycles Lab.........this doc says they are normal. In Nov 09 I also took them and the different doc also said these were normal: 9:30 AM (6.2 with range 7-10), 1.7 (range 3-6), 2.4 (range 2--4) and 1.7 (range under 1.5).....so I don't believe any of them anymore. . Despite what he says I have been taking isocort . None of these 'top docs' have tested my iron levels even though in march 2009 my ferritin was 29.8 (range 24--260)........although i plan to insist they test iron panel next week. Is there a particular iron pill you recommend? I am really desperate.....i feel terrible. Guest guest
I am confused because my FT3 was 3.5 (range 2.3--4.2).......do you mean between 4-and 4.5 rather than 400-450? I wrote previously with my problem in regulating my meds; I am on 2 grains dessicated thyroid, also on isocort, but my symptoms continue and are getting worse. I saw a doc twice and last month paid a fortune for tests and he actually lowered my meds from 3 grains to 2. Now I have the following results: TSH: .03 (.35--5.5), FT3 3.5 (2.3--4.2) and FT4: .9 (.8--1.8). I have terrible symptoms now, cannot sleep, am very nervous and anxious and very hyper, my hair is terrible and falling out again and dry, I get tired in day, I am losing too much weight, I get sleepy in day, etcetc...... ......I would like some good arguments to discuss with him on Monday and would appreciate any advice since I have more confidence in this group than in any doctor really...... ...I also asked for a prescription because I want to get the ERFA meds fm Canada, since now I have been taking the Thyroid-S from Thailand.... .....I really don't know if these have the same problems as the armour with the cellulose fillers etc......... .but I heard that Thyroid-S was close to the old armour...... ...anyway, any comments at all would be very very much appreciated! ..
