Guest guest
greetings, i've been mosting lurking for 18 months on mercury-autism list (i also have adult disabled son) and for last 1 month on this list. time to introduce myself. i have 35-year history of chronic pain, including fall downstairs that injured neck-shoulder and repetitive stress syndrome from too much computer, etc. five years ago, suddenly greatly increased symptoms and several new symptoms resulted in being unable to work at all (still disabled). i initially asked for lyme test, but it was negative elisa (i and my doc were ignorant about lyme). i was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, severe sleep apnea, hypoglycemia, gf and cf intolerance, allergies, etc. but after 2 years of treatments and various protocols, was getting much worse. two years ago, having learned more about lyme and knew that i had been bitten by a deer tick about 6 years ago, i asked for western blot, which was positive for lyme per cdc 3 out of 3 bands. i tried treating lyme first with antibiotics, including IV, and either no improvement or i got lot worse from the antibiotics. finally my lyme doc gave up on me and said she thought i was mercury toxic and that no lyme treatment would be effective until i cleared the metals. in oct 2005, i went to chelation doc who said i was too ill to even survive having my amalgams removed--so catch-22. i found holistic dentist and asked him to remove my amalgams, he also told me my immune system was not strong enough to handle amalgam removal. last spring i found stephen buhner's herbal lyme protocol, Healing Lyme: Natural Healing And Prevention of Lyme Borreliosis And Its Coinfections http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0970869630/sr/ref=pd_cp_b_title/102-7703717 -0889723?ie=UTF8&qid=1174246262&sr=8-2. despite more setbacks (including re-infected with lyme last sept 2006), with buhner's protocol i've been able to improve symptoms and stabilize enough so that since feb 27, i was able to have the first and second quadrants of my amalgams safely removed! that's huge step for me. if all goes well, i'll have all my amalgams removed by end of april and then begin cutler chelation. at this point, i plan to continue the buhner herbs while chelating, but i always stay aware and adjust as needed. for anyone who may also be infected with lyme, there is a great support group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Lyme_Aid_Buhner i'm excited to finally be close to starting the chelation process! gratefully, kendra
