Guest guest
First, transition yourself to an organic, whole foods diet to every extent possible (no processed foods) & lots of leafy greens, and get started on antioxidants, omega 3's & other basic recommended supplements. Clean water & avoiding any other toxic chemicals (like cleaning products, standard laundry detergents, exhausts, paint fumes, pesticides, personal care products, fabric treatments, new building materials/carpets, etc.) will also help. If you know you react to certain foods, eliminate them right away because they reduce your body's immune power. Your immune system & energy level really can improve significantly by doing these things even before your amalgams come out. It will also help your liver & digestive tract clear up to the extent it can so you'll have better success when you get the chelation process going. Hopefully you have a great doctor and you can get started on any hormonal treatments you need. If you don't, start looking for one. Relax. Give yourself permission to not commit yourself to a lot and allow this period of time in your life for healing. Make sure there's people around who will be supportive and patient with you, & provide them with the info they need to help understand you & what you're doing. Since you've gotten this far, you're already in the healing process, and that's a great start. Study up. Get to know your body, your symptoms (try keeping a journal if it helps), etc., so you can try out specific supplements that will help you. Be cautious of anyone trying to provide information to you who's got something to sell or some service to provide. Get your information from objective sources, compare products & services yourself, and gather lots of information from people with first-hand experience. I didn't start this protocol two years earlier because of that type of skepticism, but in this case I was wrong. The Amalgam Illness book pulls all the pieces together that takes years to accomplish on your own. It's terrible to be mercury toxic and have to make treatment decisions for yourself, but that's the nature of the situation we're in.
