Many people find they can use DMSA and ALA 4 hourly during the night, although you'll want to stick with 3 hourly for the combo during the day. I don't think it would be recommended to change the dose timing when you drop the ALA. -- > Staying on the DMSA after round really helps with the redistribution symptoms and I'm still > only taking 25mg of each. > Many thanks, > Alessa >

Guest guest
TK--- a personal choice for you which may work ok, not recommended unless one does it gradually though as it will increase redistribution just going from 3hr to 4hr dosing - this could really cause problems for more sensitive people. > > Alessa, I switch to the 4 hour schedule with DMSA only at the end of a > round & its no problem. > > Joanne >
Guest guest
Hi and thanks for your response. What I don't understand is that, if you can take DMSA on its own every 4 hours, and you can take it with ALA at night every 4 hours, why can't you take it every 4 hours when you stop the ALA? :^) Alessa Re: Dosing times Posted by: " " sage@... stevie_94306 Mon Mar 26, 2007 12:52 pm (PST) > > Hi again, > I'm one of those that prefers to start and end rounds of DMSA and ALA with only DMSA. > For instance, I take DMSA alone for a few days (every 4 hours) and then add ALA and take > both every 3 hours. Guest guest
There are plenty of people who have done 4 hour intervals of DMSA/ALA at night and done okay with that. There are also plenty of people who have done DMSA alone every 4 hours for a full round and done okay with that. There is no track record as to how people do with changing dose intervals in the middle of a round, so no basis for a recommendation. -- > > Hi and thanks for your response. TK--- you can, you just have more redistribution when you go from 3hr to 4hr, some people will be able to do this as they do for night dosing, some it will cause problems for. > :^) > Alessa
