Guest guest
Please consult with a medical doctor before administering anything that has the capacity to affect a child's brain or brain development....just because it is sold in a supermarket does not make it free of side effects, toxic potential, etc....make sure everything has been studied and proved safe and effective for that particular child.... Her hormones are probably increasing which is why the OCD is so high. You might want to have her hormones tested to see what's going on with her. My daughter is 12 years old and she is obsessed with pop bands. I had read that she should be helped to move up the developmental scale, so I switched her from watching Caillou to seeing a Bieber video and now she is obsessed with him and other pop bands. She spends the whole day discussing him and others and running around the house in a rage when she asks us to take her to see him and we say that we can't. She is not on any meds. Does anyone have suggestions?Thank you,Maggie
Guest guest
Good advise, the only thing that was missing was to make sure you are seeking the advise from a Dr. who knows what the heck they are doing. Most regular pediatricians do not know the difference between Acytle L- Carnitine and L-carnosine. Your practitioner MUST be astute in supplementation and proper testing. Guest guest
Of course...if you want to go the more natural route, you should consult closely w maybe a DAN doctor....you are right, unless the pediatrician has advanced training in behaviors (autism, etc.), and there are, they will not be equiped to medicate special children. Guest guest
Thank you so much for the responses. I'm in north Florida. Are there any good doctors up this way that could help her or should I drive south to find some? > > > > Of course...if you want to go the more natural route, you should consult closely > > w maybe a DAN doctor....you are right, unless the pediatrician has advanced training in > > behaviors (autism, etc.), and there are, they will not be equiped to medicate special children. > > > > Re: Behavioral problems > > > > > Inositol helps attenuate OCD behaviors.
