Guest guest
I have been chelating with DMSA every four hours on five day rounds since in November. I Started with doses of 12.5 mg. After a couple of months I went to 18.75 mg. Then to 25 mg. The 25 mg. doses worked well for a few rounds. Then I had a round with bad symptoms. I tried one more time at 25 mg. (after an extended break where I felt a whole lot better)and once again had very bad symptoms. I have done a couple of subsequent rounds back at 12.5 mg. The symptoms are now even worse. I am chelating lead, mercury and silver. My on round symptoms are mostly psychological. I also see things that aren't there and cannot safely drive on round. I am like an alcoholic in that I do not have good judgment about my condition and think I am okay to drive when I'm really a wreck waiting to happen. The symptoms occur within minutes of taking a dose. I am taking a boat load of supplements recommended in AI. I cannot tolerate and do not eat sulfur foods. I use castor oil packs religiously because I feel they help me a lot. I eat mostly vegetables and meat. I quit my last chelation round a day early because of symptoms. I have been off round for a week and I now feel almost like a normal person again. Now I am trying to decide what to do next. I am thinking about adding 12.5 mg. ALA to my 12.5 mg. DMSA for the next round. I thought that maybe this would make the chelation tolerable. I figure I would know right away if it was going to be bad. I could try 6.25 mg. of DMSA alone. However, just opening the DMSA bottle makes me itch and feel anxious. Or I thought perhaps I should try to get DMPS prescribed and try that. But my understanding is that it does not chelate lead or silver. Or should I take an extended chelation break? If so, how long before I try DMSA again. And then how much? BTW I am so sensitive to sulfur foods that I have gotten itchy on my exposed skin and have had symptoms when merely in the presence of roasting garlic and sauteed leeks. Could I be allergic to DMSA? Please help me figure out what to do next.

TK--- ALA [usually causes more side effects - if you decide to try it with the side effects you are having now I would suggest using it alone at first to see what it does. TK--- if you can get dmps I would try that or lower the dmsa dosage >
