I understand it to be due to adrenals under significant stress - something to do with aldosterone and / or cortisol. Have you had your adrenals checked? Do you have any other adrenals symptoms, like hypoglycemia, internal shaking, jitteriness, etc? Best Nicola > > 2. Guest guest
I took the liberty of pasting your old post at the bottom of your new post (makes it easier to follow, for me anyway) Comments below > > > > > > > After 5 rounds I feel I have gone several steps backwards with many > > old > > > syptoms returning or intensifying, and I'm taking a break now > > hoping to > > > recover a bit before starting again. > > > > TK--- please tell us what you are using for chelation - dosage and > > timing. > > 12.5 g ALA, 12.5 g DMSA, three hourly - but the last round got messed > up by missing a dose (took the next without realising, it was in the > night, so then I carried on) and then running out of DMSA so I > continued with ALA alone, probably this explains a lot. > I think that your new symptoms do have something to do with the mistakes of this last round. Missing a dose and then taking the next dose will bring on symptoms (I've made those kind of mistakes and suffered). It would be much better to stop the ALA BEFORE stopping the DMSA. J After 5 rounds I feel I have gone several steps backwards with many old syptoms returning or intensifying, and I'm taking a break now hoping to recover a bit before starting again. Two wierd new symptoms though took me by surprise: 1. I thought I was being attacked by a large flying insect, then I realised is was just my ears making a loud hum, which lasted a minute or so before fading away 2. Yesterday evening, had a pee, then ten minutes later needed to pee again, a full bladder of clear liquid - water basically. This not at all typical for me and there were no external factors like drinking more than usual - how on earth can this happen? Does anybody know if these things are likely to be related to mercury or chelation? I know these things aren't serious on their own but I'd like to understand better what is going on. Guest guest
Nahla, I have been noticing this, too, now that you mention it, but I check to see what it was & the movement is always valid. I think I'm not used to picking things up in the outer edges of visual periphery, so it's a strange thing. I'm having all sorts of strange things happen since adding ALA. This time my jaw was squeaking & squealing for a short spell & I'd never noticed problems there before. On two chelations I've have a 2-3 day long build-up of intense sinus pressure, then have to sneeze, a bunch of gunk comes out, & the pressure is suddenly gone?!? It also seems like my liver 'deflates' by the end of an ALA round, which is very, very nice. No pain, no gain! Joanne > I thought I might be going insane (grin) because I would imagine things out of the corner of my eye...for example I get startled and realize it is not what I thought it was... I've tried liquorice, which worked wonders for about three weeks a few years ago, but since then has had no noticeable effect, and prednisolone, but don't really get on with it or other adrenal support and I tend to regard adrenal weakness as a symptom rather than a cause of CFS type symptoms now.
