If the fluid retention started after starting the licorice, then I would consider stopping the licorice to see if it resolves. If you aren't getting any benefit from the licorice anyway, then you may as well wait for the HC to arrive. --
Guest guest
> I took a glandular, and within 45 min. my mood was so much better and I had some energy all day. It just makes me feel a little anxious (probably the adrenaline). I had terrible anxiety with one brand of glandular, but Nutricology brand was much better, fwiw. Isocort specifically says it's not made with the part of the gland that produces adrenaline, so that might be something to try too. Guest guest
So does the licorice increase the blood sodium levels? I actually have very low sodium levels and have trouble retaining fluids and I only weigh 118lbs @ 5'10 " . This may be a good option for me? I'm male 28 yrs. I sometimes get hyper when I take too much adrenal too late in the afternoon or nite time. How are you dosing with your licorice and adrenals? Try not to take any adrenal suplements to late in the afternoon or at night. Or reduce dosages to lower levels so you dont get so amped up. From experience, I know that getting amped up only means that a crash in energy levels is eminent. The more over-exited you get, the harder the crash is going to be later... I think I just stated something obviouse:/ As for the water retention, I'm interested in knowing how licorice effects sodium and potasium ballance. Any input appreceated.
