Guest guest
Hello, I need to know if it is ok to blend all/some of my supplements with juice/vitaming water/protein drink. So I can drink this through out the day and get several doses easily. One of the things I hate is the taste and smell of all these supplements pills which make me seek after a while. Do you think there could be a reaction? I plan to blend: - Multi Minerals (all) - Vitamin C, B - Maybe E Which supplements I should not blend? Thank you
Guest guest
TK--- this will cause many of the supplements to oxidize. I would suggest getting a pill organizer and make up the different doses you need to take during the day/week and take them in pill or capsule form. > > Hello, > > I need to know if it is ok to blend all/some of my supplements with > juice/vitaming water/protein drink. DA: From what I remember, taking Vitamin E with minerals can bind it where you dont get the optimnum results.... my ND said to always take vitamins with food... eat a bit and then take a couple, eat some more bites, etc. I take my minerals [ largest dosing] at 9pm at nite because it makes me sleepy by 10pm; I take them a little earlier when on round so I can get a little more sleep time in before waking for my midnite dose. Hope this helps! / DA
Guest guest
Life Extension sells a powdered multi you might want to check out, http://www.lef.org/newshop/items/item00946.html if you want to take supplements this way. This has just about everything in it -- you'll have to check the formula to see if it has anything you don't want to take in it. The taste is not bad at all, and you can mix it when you like. Could be useful. NJ Re: Blending supplements together? > > Do you think there could be a reaction? Guest guest
Hello, Claudio I have been blending a variety of about 25 pills, capsules (taken out of the caps),oils and powders like whey and flax for the last 3 years. I finally went to a Vitamix last year because I was burning out the regular ones within 6 months. I use a base of V8 juice and any berry anti-oxidant juice and then add some fresh vegetables and/or fruit It takes me about 10 minutes to get it ready and a minute to drink. It holds me until lunch without getting hungry or getting any sugar lows. I would highly recommend this system to anyone who is detoxing. And you are right about it killing the bad taste of some of the herbal nutraceuticals. Guest guest
You can blend them, but watch B com...it taste terrible and I find it better to just swallow it. Usually, if I put it in a shake or juice it overpowers the whole thing and it is Yuck! Dont put your whole days' worth of doses in one shake. You want one dose worth. Then later on in the day more..you want frequent doses maybe three to four times a day. Otherwise your body just dumps most of and only take the little bit it needs from the one large dose. > > Hello, Claudio > > I have been blending a variety of about 25 pills, capsules (taken out of the > caps),oils and powders like whey and flax for the last 3 years. > > I finally went to a Vitamix last year because I was burning out the regular > ones within 6 months. > > I use a base of V8 juice and any berry anti-oxidant juice and then add some > fresh vegetables and/or fruit > > It takes me about 10 minutes to get it ready and a minute to drink.
