I have been successful in getting Cigna to authorize individual and family psychotherapy as well as behavioral therapy with our office.

If interested, please call the office to request that we check your insurance benefits.

I have UNC and they will pay for ABA now.

Jodi: I have UHC...they cover a lot but you need a PPO plan. You need to check whatever insurance you choose about the speech because I think there is an age limit.

I am thinking about putting my kids on United Health Care insurance. Does anyone have United and are able to get autism related therapies covered such as ABA, HBOT, Speech, Dan Drs. etc.

Any advice is great appreciated.

Does anyone have a child with autism on Cigna Insurance? I have spoken to an insurance rep and she told me they basically won't pay for anything except Speech, OT, PT and medical doctors for autism with a limited amount of hours per month, even with the autism insurance bill in place. This doesn't seem right to me. I was wondering if anyone has Cigna and has gotten ABA or other therapies like Hyperbaric or DAN drs. paid for throught Cigna.

We have Cigna and I have been fighting with them for almost a year trying to get reimbursed for my daughter's ABA Therapy. When I called them I was told that they would pay for 80 hours of ABA per calendar year, however I have yet to receive any reimbursement and my daughter has been receiving ABA for almost year. Insurance companies drive me crazy!Christy
