Guest guest
Renata, I have had many clients attend the JCC over the years, and as they have gone along, the services they have provided have improved greatly. The shadows they provide can be great or good(as far as being behaviorally on-point), but I have found most to be very eager to learn on how to help the children. I believe they provide some training, but it lacks individuality to your child. They do try to gather information prior to camp starting, which assists them in making the summer successful. If you have access to your own shadow (one who has worked or works with your child and has a good behavioral repertoire) or a behaviorist who could go in a few times to help set the summer up, providing pointers and support, that would be the best scenario. The camp has been very open to any assistance, and provide a great social environment for many of our learners to participate in. Hope this helps, I have heard good recommendations for this camp, in fact i just registered my 4 years old for the first timeYou can bring your own shadow, or they can find someone for you.The camp it self is very nice, and full of activity, but it is all up to the shadow to make sure your child is happy>> The -Ann JCC have an inclusion special needs camp (Camp Koach)> Eligible campers are mainstreamed in a Variety Camps, participating in all of the same activities while being buddied with a shadow.> Does anyone heard or had any experience in any of their camps.> Thanks in advance !!> Renata > Sent via BlackBerry by AT & T> M. , MS, BCBAmegan@...
