Yes, DMSA pulls lots of other metals besides mercury. It is

especially good for lead. DMPS pulls arsenic. I believe that enough

ALA will eventually pull both of those, however.

DMSA might have fewer side effects for you. I think most people find

DMPS has fewer, though. For me, I think DMSA has fewer, but I've been

using it now almost 2 years. It's hard to remember how DMSA felt when

I first started it vs. now when I've just started DMPS, but I think

DMPS is harder for me know than DMSA was then.

Sound reasonable if you can afford it. I guess that's the other big

con of DMPS is the expense of seeing a doctor and having it

compounded. (People often find that doctors want to prescribe much

higher doses of DMPS than they want and wind up having to recompound

it themselves.) I am buying DMPS for both me and my daughter and it's

fairly costly (maybe $200/month for the two of us and we are still at

pretty low doses). That figure is based on taking it continuously,

which is possible because the lower dosing frequency makes it less

exhausting to go for long periods of time. That's good because you

can rack up the equivalent of many rounds relatively quickly with much

less redistribution. However, I would not dose continuously without

getting some experience with DMPS and consulting a practioner familiar

with it if you can.
