Guest guest
I just started the SCD diet a couple of days ago and I started to do a round of ala (6 mg). After the first day, I started feeling awful muscle/tendon pulling and my abdomen started to distend. Is this a yeast reaction? I stopped the round because it was so uncomfortable. any ideas? I think it has to do with mercury moving and depositing. > and my abdomen started to distend. Is this a > yeast reaction? If it is gas it could be from yeast or bacterial fermentation (or both) > I stopped the round because it was so uncomfortable. > > any ideas? > I found that it took about 6 weeks on the SCD to get my dysbiosis under control. What I read was a person should stay on the beginner diet until all pain and diarrhea have stopped (I don't know if you have those symptoms). I found that it takes quite a bit of reading to find all the rules about the diet - like no seeds until so many months after symptoms have subsided, and only cooked vegs and fruits at first. And the on line support group wants a person to know everything before they post. I couldn't follow another high volume group anyway. There are other things to consider like if you are sensitive to sulfur foods you will have to find a substitute for milk based yogurt (almond milk) and eggs (other protein source). If someone is sensitive to cows mild protein they suggest starting with goat's milk yogurt. I go on and on about the yogurt because it contains tons of probiotics and I believe it is the reason my gut recovered so quickly. If you want to talk more about the diet feel free to email me direct. J > Val >
