Guest guest
I found out that i have a b12 deficiency and need supplementation. I read in Huggins book that mercury toxic people should not get b12 because it will methylate inorganic HG into organic HG which is 100 times more toxic. What does Cutler think about B12 for mercury toxic people? Do you think it could be harmful? What is the best way of supplementation for mercury toxic people? B12 doesn't methylate mercury. > What does Cutler think about B12 for mercury toxic > people? He says to start with low doses (oral and sublingual) and increase gradually to see how much a person can tolerate. Different people have different thresholds of tolerance. I don't recall him saying why (except that it is not about methylating mercury). In 'Amalgam Illness' B12 is on the list of supplements that a person should try, and on the list of liver support supplements. There are many people who do not absorb B12 well and need to supplement. >Do you think it could be harmful? What is the best way of > supplementation for mercury toxic people? > It can be supplemented orally, sublingually, or by injection. The important thing is to determine the dose by increasing gradually. There is some controversy about which is the best form to supplement. If you use onibasu.com and search the autism mercury archives you will be able to find posts from Andy on the topic. J

Anybody here that > had adverse side effects from high doses b12 supplementation? At an early part of his recovery, it made my son fly into a rage. The SOurce Naturals cherry sublinguals are good, 1 mg. You can start with one and titrate up, see how you feel. I'm using nasal spray B12 at the moment, which is quite high dose. I can't really tell any difference, but I tend to be insensitive to almost everything. Nell
Guest guest
Hi, I had adverse reactions to B12 injections. My body turned so stiff I could hardly walk for several years (still I continued). My interpretation of this is that the B12 made Hg loosen and wander in the body without me being able to get it out. Now, after 5 months with dmsa (7 times with 12,5 mg, 6 times 16,6 mg, 1 with 20 mg) (with a months break inbetween) I can finally walk normally. My body is no longer stiff, I have got the Hg out of the body. I still take B12 injections (5 mg twice a week) and will continue with it. My idea is that it heals the central nervous system. I am now on the first round of ALA/dmsa and my energy is boosting. Kris
