The Na/K ratio is way out of range - thyroid problem. Has she had recent serum testing for thyroid? Maybe a dose change is needed. The Ca/Mg ratio is low indicating poor blood sugar regulation. Until you address it, consider putting her on lower glycemic foods and possibly use some chromium with meals. The Ca/P is noticeably lower than the previous hair test as well. Vit D and high fat intake are supposed to be good for fast oxidizers. I believe she has had calcium issues in the past, generally showing high hair calcium?? Is the low calcium on this test a new thing? Is she still taking a calcium supplement? --

Serum testing tomorrow for thyroid levels but we increased it due to this test.<=== > > The Ca/Mg ratio is low indicating poor blood sugar regulation. > Until you address it, consider putting her on lower glycemic > foods and possibly use some chromium with meals. ====>Thanks, she was hypoglycemic at 3, very out of sort behavior if she didn't eat often enough. We haven't seen that for a long time and any idea why her chromium would not show low?===> > > The Ca/P is noticeably lower than the previous hair test as well. > Vit D and high fat intake are supposed to be good for fast oxidizers. > > I believe she has had calcium issues in the past, generally showing > high hair calcium?? ===>Yes, good memory, high hair calcium with high serum calcium before the addition of Vitamin K which quickly brought the serum calcium into normal ref range and dropped the hair calcium like a rock so maybe a correction? This is up from last hair test, a little. She does take a small amount of calcium 350 mgs a day as well as drinks about 3 cups of milk a day. She has another condition " vagus vasal " where she will faint in reaction to severe pain. I never heard of this before her, but have run into lots of kids/people with this condition, so not that uncommon, but problematic for an active child. We found that if we push the calcium supplements she has this reaction whenever she gets hurt, if we keep the magnesium higher, no vagus vasal reactions. Maybe not surprising as magnesium regulates heart rates? I'm just supposing here, sure someone else could give a better explanation of why this works. Thanks, Is the low calcium on this test a new thing? > Is she still taking a calcium supplement? > > -- >
