Guest guest
Hello all,i am in a bit of a dilemma, and maybe someone could give some insight. Well about 3 years ago i had one of two root canals performed, and before the permanent crown was placed the dentist filled the root canal with what i now know happen to be amalgam. To mak a long story short, when i came in for the placement of the permnent crown the temporary filling was drilled out and the crown was then fitted. What are the chances of there being amalgam still left underneath the crown. I am asking simply because i have already had 4 teeth extracted because of butcher dentist shotty work in the past, and pretty soon i'll look like an 80 yr old man with most of my teeth missing at 30 yrs old. I normally would not hesitate to puul it but the tooth is somewhat in the front of my mouth and the appearance may cause more problems than the actual problem itself.
