If you use the two sides of the same capsule to split the dose, you probably will get slightly different amounts (and probably spill some, too). I suggest you get some empty capsules from the HFS or from an online source. Much easier. --

How does one know the dosage of split capsule to be 8 or 12mg > exactly? If the powder from a 25 mg capsule is divided by 2 the resulting 2 piles will be fairly close to 12.5 mg. A 25 mg cap divided by 3 will be close to 8.3 mg. Dividing large capsules to small divisions would be less accurate. I divide on a piece of parchment paper with lines spaced 1 cm apart and use a sharp knife to separate the powder and put it into capsules. Some people divide on a glass plate; some divide into same size capsules. I split a capsule usually there is one larger part of the > capsule and I try to even the powder evenly but it sounds to me like > people know exact dosage out there? We are dividing by eye. You would need capsules of the same size. How are people doing this? I have > posted before the same question , is there a prob if one time 12 mg is > used and 3-4 hrs later maybe 8-9 mg are used ??? Dividing by eye can be more accurate than that. A person with a tremor couldn't do it. J thanks >
