Guest guest
Hi Teri, I wont be able to make your event but will look for your= book in stores. I would like to read it. I too have written a book but in simple form. I have not had it published but rather, I created it using Shutterfly, so I have my own copies. The book is defiantly amateur but it has =been really helpful in helping others understand my daughter and appreciate her differences. Would love to show it to you if you are interested and talk about publishing. I have thought about it for a while but it went to the back burner as other things came up. Maybe it is time to revisit. Hoping to hear from you soon. All my best, Hello Members of The Autism Community, My name is Theresa "Teri" Berger. I wrote and illustrated, "Me and My Boy, Skippy... Living Life with Autism" which is an illustrated tale of the daily life of a mother raising a son with autism. Although, daunting, Dottie 's message is clear, "My son's autism may beat me up, but it will never beat me down." The story is based on my own life story with my son. The book has gotten rave reviews. I have been featured in Daytona's News-Journal on June 7, 2012 and have had several book signing events since then. The upcoming event will be at The Seminole Towne Center Mall located in Sanford, Florida at the "Book Warehouse" location, upstairs next to Macy's, this Saturday, July 21, from 12-3 pm. There will be a representative from CARD (Center for Autism and Related Disablities) there accompanying me. I am also looking for parents to submit their own stories to be included in my sequel. Please take a look at www.sunsationalpublishing.com I am not only an author and illustrator, but also a book publisher, if you would like your own book published. Thank you for your support in spreading the word to other families. Best Regards, Teri Berger
