If yes, that means that she deals with gynecologic cancers such as vulvar and cervical cancer. But gynecologic oncologists can also deal with difficult to treat cases that regular gyns may not see enough of. Regular Oncology is different. Ask them which Oncology they mean because it makes a difference. Gyencologic Oncology may fall under the Oncology Division of the place she affiliates with. You can also find out by going to the website of the hospital she has privileges at what exactly her specialty is as far as Oncology.
