FYI-Carolyn, In 1999 when I first had DV burning, I was assigned to

Weisenfeld. To make a long story short, he had NO idea what my

problem was and ended up doing next to nothing. At the time my PCP

gave me norglex and that helped, so Weisenfeld told me to keep taking it.

I was to go back in a year for check-up, however, when I called for an

app. I asked for a " FEMALE " Dr. and was assigned to Moalli. She is

still my Dr. and I really, really like her. But my burning was not all

gyne and I went to a pain Dr. who has me on neurontin and moniters me,

along w/ my

PCP who has given me effexor XR when I get a major flare-up.

Just my experience w/ Weisenfeld and that was 1999, so he might be

more informed today. I have read @ Updyke.
