Guest guest
Do you take anything besides Lantus? It shouldn't be affecting your sugars that much unless you have lost alot of weight. Interesting I cut down the amount on Lantus I need to take due to being so Low on Sunday and Monday yesterday, and have still been running lower. I have had problems with running Low, and feeling the symptoms since Sunday... And have even ate things that should spike it, and it does not effect it much. Last night after eating 2 Brownies, and testing like 2 hrs. Later, I was only reading 121 which I was surprized, and Happy with. Then last night before I went to sleep I was reading 85. And just now I tested, and was only 66... So I am running low again, and not noticing any effects. I would be calling my Endo, and discussing it with her if I had Insurance. Any suggestions? ~~TINA~~

Guest guest
Hi Ivy--Were you ever tested for cytolitic vaginosis? It is an overgrowth of lactobacilli and most docs don't ever test for it. It causes lots of itching. It's treated with antibiotics. However, congratulations!! You must be so relieved. > > Hey guys- > > Something interesting I thought I'd share with you and get your opinion on.. > > I've been on an antibiotic since last Thursday for a sinus infection. Guest guest
No, I don't think I've ever been tested for that. How do they test for it? I'll mention it to my gyno. Thanks for the tip!! Guest guest
just to clarify for those who want to get pregant. if you have group b strep in your vagina and about 35-40% of women do, they treat you with antibiotics in labor. it is not a big deal and no reason to not get pregnant. for most women, it causes no problems or symptoms at all. i saw a doc in nyc who thought it was contributing to my pelvic pain. it wasn't but i learned that using boric acid suppositories can knock out some of the gbs bacteria.
