Guest guest
Hi Ladies, below is some really good info that nne asked me to send to the groups! There are many good links with graphic photos of skin rolling... Hugs, Chelletimeflies wrote: Hi Chelle, Would you please post this information to the two groups that I use to belong to. It really is excellent information... nne I was just wondering if anyone from this group went to this conference - San Diego International Pelvic Pain Meeting (October 26-27) in San Diego a couple of weeks ago. I have a friend who went and she said it was excellent. She met Dr. Antolak for the first time and saw a couple of the presentations. Below is the web site for IPPS - they have some interesting information on their web site. http://www.pelvicpain.org/ "The Role of Physical Therapy in the Treatment of Pudendal Neuralgia" presentation was given by A. Prendergast, MPT, and H. Rummer, MSPT http://pelvicpain.org/news/pdfs/vol15_no1.pdf There was also a mention of pudendal neuropathy from the ICA – http://www.ichelp.com/FeatureArticles/IPPSTenthMeeting.html They quoted "Pudendal neuralgia was the "hot topic" of the conference this year". Here are two links to presentations given in Cairo Egypt this year that discuss physical therapy after having pudendal surgery. They are presentations given by Liz Rummer and Prendergast, The one given by is quite good. (very graphic) I would really recommend everyone who is going to have surgery, or has had surgery to read it. is one of the very few (actually I have not heard of anyone else) who is instructing on post surgery physical therapy. I know she has been in contact with my physical therapist and consults with Dr. Conway. The presentations are pdf files, so you will have to have Acrobat reader on your PC to view the presentations. Please be aware that the photos show pelvic drops and very explicit description/photos of skin rolling. http://www.perineology.com/files/rummer-cairo2007.pdf Liz Rummer (USA), Cairo, Egypt, MSPFD, 2007 A new approach to the physical therapy management of chronic pelvic pain (Pdf file 350 k) http://www.perineology.com/files/prendergast-cairo2007.pdf Prendergast(USA), Cairo, Egypt, MSPFD, 2007 Post-Operative Rehabilitation Protocol Following Pudendal Nerve Decompression(Pdf file 580 k) (If clicking on the link doesn’t work, copy and paste into your browser)
