U assume correctly. I am 50 years old today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vicky

is 52 years old today.......It's kind of funny but I share my

birthday with lots of people.....I was a birthday present for my

grandmother so we always celebrated together. My cousin Pam (on the

other side of the family) was a birthday present for me.....then, my

grandmother passed away and my niece's son was born on the 18th.

He's two today. Then I met up with Ms. Vicky and her birthday is

the 18th. I think Redford's birthday is today too!

After work I am treating myself to a hot stone massage. I cannot

wait! It is the most relaxing massage I've ever had in the past.

Calgon take me away......

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. Didn't think I was going to

make this birthday. See the statistics are WRONG! I'm five years

out diagnosed 1/03. We have to live our lives to the best of our

ability each and every day.

Isn't it amazing to make another and how much more special they have

become. Odd how not only statistics but other factors can contribute to

how we feel and think of it. A year ago, if I'm correct, you were on the

transplant list, waiting. I think the minute you were told you were too

healthy to be on it, just those words made you feel more alive. Then the

things you started doing. We have to be careful to filter. I see you and

I don't see anyone 50-much younger. I also see someone healthy and very

alive, even though she uses a funny hose and hauls tanks around. We talk

about people not grasping the seriousness because we look better. Well,

isn't that great, that we are able to do things and look inconsistent

with the disease. I know your disease and I still think of you as I've

seen you fly across your office or partying in Snyder Texas with Wally.

Sounds cool having so many birthday celebrations in your family.

I know today is probably somewhat bittersweet but find some way to

celebrate it, whether its talking to family or calling friends you

haven't spoken to in a while. Eat something you don't get often. Play

your favorite music. Picture all of us hugging you and wishing we were

there to celebrate with you. Know how much you're loved and appreciated.

Think of the most pleasurable things you can and within your limits do

what you can. Know that you are alive and it is your birthday. Just look

at you first one to wish Leanne happy birthday. We're glad to be able to

quietly share yours with you.
