Guest guest
Not heard of it but form looking at the ingredients, I would say only if it causes excess stimulation as Ginseng sometimes can. Simply pay attention to your symptoms when you start it and only change one thign at a time so you knwo what symptoms coem from what. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
That actually looks pretty good to me. However, you are taking a lot of different things right now. Do you think your GI can handle it? Cheri -----Original Message----- My new Top Doc has me on two caps in AM and said that I might need more. http://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/adaptogen-p-weight-loss-dietary- supplements.html I think that someone else just mentioned this one, or one like it, the other day, but there are so many that I wanted to be sure that there is nothing in here that is likely to set me back. . Guest guest
Yeah, discouraged is a pretty good word for it. I think that you did mention that book and I need to get it now that I'm done with Peatfield's book. I temporarily discontinued all of my vits and the adaptogen for today to see if the GI improves. Of course, I increased Armour last night so that's likely to complicate matters further as it usually does fire up the GI some for a few days, but that's the end game for me and it's time so I plowed ahead. I think that I'll stick to Armour, HC, and sea salt since it doesn't upset my GI. Aloe vera juice seems to help so I'll continue with that too. And then I guess I'll try to add back in the other stuff one at a time to see if I can take it. I'm assuming that I should keep on with the probiotics and disgestive enzymes since they're supportive. Even without the vits today my GI is still pretty fired up now during the day so it will probably be worse tnite. > > .... Guest guest
I couldn't access the link. I mentioned one the other day that I've just started. It's called Quantam Adaptogen Complex. It has soma latha, rhaponticum, rhodiola, Fo Ti Tieng Root, Nopal Cactus and bunch of other things. Having sort of a tough time now but I started too many things at once..Armour, this supplement plus a few more. I'm going to stick w/ it all though for a while and keep my fingers crossed. Good luck!!
Guest guest
I think that that is the same one that I started two days ago and I've been having increased GI symptoms and more trouble sleeping than usual, but I don't know if it was this adaptogen or not. Atlanta Girl says that this product is made by a known good source so our docs aren't smoking something by putting us on it, but it might be a little much for a tender GI. Or it has nothing to do with it and it's something else we're on. Who knows. Part of what's so frustrating about this whole thing. How exactly are you feeling again since you started on the complex, how much are you taking, and how long? > > I couldn't access the link. I mentioned one the other day that I've > just started. Guest guest
.... time to read the book, Optimal Digestive Health. This book got me on the right track. For years I couldn't deal with even easy food to digest. From one day to the next, same food, different outcome. Got totally stressed out and fed up with it. After following a number of the suggestions in this book things started to come around. But it was hard work. One of my friends consulted and worked with one of the primary contributors to the book. The book is an anthology of sorts. It takes a cross section from some of the best practitioners in the field of gastric heath. My friend also had a hair trigger gut. She excelled with Jerry's protocol. And I've done great too. http://www.amazon.com/Optimal-Digestive-Health-Complete-Guide/dp/1594770360/ref=\ pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8 & s=books & qid=1201221888 & sr=1-1 I just want you to know that sometimes probiotics can incite issues or keep them going when there is active dysbiosis. Going to all Bifidus is sometimes the place to go to when this occurs. I could have written your post! The other thing that is excellent for what you describe is systemic, between meals, enzymes. In fact when you feel the bloating, you instantly start them. I use Wobenzyme. Take 15-20. You don't want to keep feeding the problem with undigested food. Also, I had to go off grains. The maltose caused lots of issues. Presumable the sugar fed bad bacteria. I eat no grains now, except some occasional corn. The anti-aging med doc I see in TX has encouraged me toward Paleo eating. Meat, veggies, some fruits, nuts. NO grains, minimal dairy, no beans. What a difference now after each meal. Whoa! -AG will ck on xym!!! > I'm on my second brand of good probiotics - started with Enzymedica's > and now on GOL Ultra - 30 billion/day. Guest guest
I'll check out that book after I read the other one that I just ordered yesterday. My experience right now does seem similar to how you were. Did you really mean that you take 15-20 caps of Wobenzyme in between meals? Is that along with the 4 caps of enzymes with meals and 4-6 caps of HCL with meals that you take? Is there any room in your stomach for anything else after all of those veggie caps . I just want you to know that sometimes probiotics can incite issues or > keep them going when there is active dysbiosis. Going to all Bifidus > is sometimes the place to go to when this occurs.
